Look, let me boil this down for you.

Let’s assume the Marvel Universe runs on a general time scale of the Fantastic Four showing up about 15 years ago, and Spider-Man getting bit around the same time.

Now, let’s then figure that the Avengers would have shown up maybe within a year, and Cap’s team (where Hawkeye became an Avenger) is six months later. So 13 and a half years.

Now, Hawekey joined the circus at 6, and trained under Swordsman and Trick Shot. Let’s say they trained him until 17, and he became an Avenger at 18 (which is a rule, it was why they kicked out Rage for being 13).

That would mean the YOUNGEST Hawkeye could be is 31 and a half. And more than likely, he didn’t join until his early 20s.

Kate’s 17.

If Clint is 31, the “Not Creepy” equation says that Clint can date anyone at least the age of 22.

It wouldn’t be creepy if, say, Clint was 41. Because Kate would be 27. And they would have known each other as adults.

But Clint met Kate as a child.
